Itinerary
Two days in one of Africa's wildest and most unspoiled corners. This isn't just a game drive — it's a full bush immersion that starts with an early morning walk through the wilderness with a Maasai guide, continues with a cruise down the Rufiji River past hippos and crocodiles, and wraps up with a night at a safari lodge surrounded by the sounds of the African wild.
Hotel pick-up & flight to Selous
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your scenic ~30-minute domestic flight. Arrive at Mtemere Airstrip inside the park at 06:30 AM and meet your professional safari guide for a briefing.
Morning & afternoon game drive
Explore different wildlife zones of the park. Picnic lunch at 1:00 PM inside the park. Continue game viewing until sunset across the vast landscapes of Nyerere.
Overnight — Selous Safari Lodge
Transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the African bush.
06:00 AM — Guided bush walk with Maasai warriors
Learn about animal tracks, wildlife signs, and bush survival from expert Maasai guides. Return to lodge for a full breakfast.
Boat safari on the Rufiji River
A 2-hour boat safari on the Rufiji River. See hippos, crocodiles, stunning birdlife, and river wildlife up close. Lunch at the lodge and relaxation before departure.
04:30 PM — Return flight to Zanzibar
Transfer back to your hotel upon arrival in Zanzibar.
